Easier to swallow - Microsoft's new tablet PCs
Despite last week's mixed reactions to the hype surrounding Microsoft's Origami project, the products themselves look great. Although not formally announced until CeBit, a video interview with UMPC division GM (formerly Architect) Otto Berkes reveals quite a few interesting details about the new devices.
These are tablet PCs with 7" screens, running Windows XP tablet edition, and are similar in many ways to current notebooks (without keyboards of course). At a projected price range of $599 - $999, these are very nice indeed.
